Imagine what it would be like
Oh, hi friends!!
If you’re going to imagine the worst-case scenario — in any situation — why not also take some time to imagine the best-case scenario?
Imagine what it would be like if it turned out OK.
That way, you can at least have both ideas in your head.
Whether your thoughts are pulled in one direction or another, you can still know there’s not only one single possibility.
Imagine what it would be like if it turned out OK.

“Ask yourself, ‘What do I want to say?’”
This question was saved in my Evernote under “Gretchen Rubin writing advice” so I’m sure Gretchen said it at some point on her excellent podcast Happier or in one of her books.
It’s a simple piece of advice yet one I could/should revisit before writing every article, song, or newsletter.
What do you want to say?
Do you want to inform, inspire, share?
What’s the thesis, boiled down to one sentence?
Ask yourself at the beginning and maybe it can guide you.
If You Only Have One Minute
You might like to meet Omeo, an orphaned koala whose mother died of cancer — he is living in a faux pouch inside an incubator and is now thriving at the San Diego Zoo. Those eyes! Also, those claws...
PS — Colin just said, “You should write a play called ‘Omeo & Juliet: A Koala Love Story’” so perhaps that’s my next project?
PS — If you'd like some low-pressure accountability in the morning, please join me and my brother Eric for the 10:11 Club — every weekday at 10:11am ET, we're starting our day together and working toward one goal until noon.
