Reinventing Mondays
Oh, hi friends!
If there ever was a time for a fresh start, a new beginning, a “maybe today doesn’t have to be like the days before it,” then that time…is a Monday.
People aren’t crazy about Mondays. I know, I know!
But since now every day takes on shades of the same, maybe Mondays can lose some of their essential…Mondayness.
Today can be a same old Monday.
Or it can simply be a new day.
Turn it into whatever you want, whatever you need.
“'What am I really sick of?' is where innovation begins."
From this insightful old interview with Jerry Seinfeld. It’s an interesting time to observe what you’re sick of right now…
I also liked this quote: “You have to know how to encourage yourself to be confident and courageous when you’re creating new material and also how to be harshly critical and go, ‘That’s good, but it’s not good enough—take it out.’” Gold, Jerry, gold!
I haven’t run in many weeks and some days it’s too slippery, rainy, or crowded to go for a bike ride (or even take a walk), but I have managed to do this New York Times-approved six-minute workout a handful of times. (The cardio one, at the top.) It’s not annoying — you know what I mean — and it's over in a flash. Sending it along to anyone who wants to get a little more movement indoors.
PS — If you'd like some friendly accountability and a fresh start every morning, please join me and my brother Eric for the 10:11 Club — every weekday morning at 10:11am ET (or whatever time zone you're in!), we're starting our day together and working toward one goal until noon. We'd love to start our morning with you!
