What are you hoping to find?
Oh, hi friends!
I spent a not un-embarrassing amount of time scrolling Twitter last night.
What was I hoping to find?
I dunno. I’m still looking.
Meanwhile, the things I wished to do: write my songs, revise my play, think long-term, went overlooked. Again. Yes, I was tired! But still. Twitter—or any other little distracting action—won’t make things better.
And to that I say: Oh well. Today’s new. You know? S’ok.
We can choose to wade in the same waters—or wring out our hair, brush the sand from our feet, and go somewhere new.
^ That's life.

“I want to enjoy every minute and use the wisdom that I’ve accrued whilst acknowledging my fallibility and the continuance of all sorts of foolishness. It’s so enjoyable to be alive in this state.”
Emma Thompson is a treasure. I’ve read this long conversation with her twice now. Plus, did you know she’s the only person to ever win Oscars for both writing and acting? She’s also writing and directing the Nanny McPhee musical. Treasure!!!
May you enter this Thursday with the confidence and skill and poise and energy of Sutton Foster tap-dancing her heart out at the Tonys.
