Can you feel that something’s coming?
Oh, hi friends!
Last week, I asked what you’re going “all in” on for the final quarter of this year.
Here are some responses that might inspire your own thoughts and feelings and projects…
I'm returning to my long-buried dream to pursue a career in publishing. I will be quitting my job as soon as I find the right editing gig—even though it does come with a likely pay cut!
For the last few months of 2018, I'm going all in with my CFA studying - I recently enrolled in the program and am overwhelmed by all of the statistics and economics material I have to learn/memorize. I'll be very busy both after work and weekends devoting myself to the material until December...but once it's over, it's gone from my life forever!!! —Rebecca from Toronto
[I’m creating a] project for those without time but with intention to read at BetterMinds.cz —Ondřej from Czech Republic
I continue to promise myself weekly that I will be more active professionally on social media. Maybe this will happen now! —Juhee from New York City
I’m a filmmaker who just wrote and directed my first Independent comedy feature film and I’m recommitting to going all in on building my email list which serves as my distribution platform for my work. —Justin
I have something I'm going 'all in' on right now — I'm setting up a new online business helping creative entrepreneurs expand their reach, increase their visibility, and position themselves as leaders by creating community projects.
I've dedicated this year to not only working intentionally on my novel but bouncing back from hard days and unexpected roadblocks. —Yasi from sunny San Diego
I am going all-in on my new job!
I'm going all in on live storytelling. It brings together all sorts of practices I've loved in the past (writing, stand-up, improv), and the storytelling scene in Los Angeles is getting really interesting. Plus, turning painful memories into laughter is the closest I expect to get to the alchemists.

I admire everyone’s ambition and drive, and can’t wait to see what the end of the year brings you all.

“I’ve put in my 10,000 hours,” she said during a break in Bernhardt/Hamlet rehearsals, alluding to the much-cited road to mastery that Malcolm Gladwell described in his book Outliers. “And I’m very curious about what my instrument can do at this point.”
Loved this profile of Theresa Rebeck, who's been working on three recent and upcoming plays, an indie film, and an upcoming TV pilot. (She also created Smash, the short-lived TV show for which I had a soft spot.)
The idea of putting in the time isn’t new, but it’s always admirable to see what that time can create.
With a click, with a shock
