The way I’m going into the week
Oh, hi friends!
I was thinking this weekend about how it’s all connected.
When I run a good mile, the next one feels good, too.
If I have one great day, the next day often seems better.
But how one crummy meeting can make me question everything in my career.
Or focusing on the one thing that’s going wrong—a missed deadline, an outstanding assignment—makes the rest of my life harder.
So I guess it’s a matter of adding up and paying attention to the little things that are going right, in the hope that they’ll double and triple and take over all the rest. And working on everything that isn’t.
Rather than let the weekend disappear, I’m going to think about what went right and carry that good energy into the week. Join me?!
This is EXACTLY right.
The worst part of procrastination isn’t that you feel behind or frazzled, it’s that all of your energy—which could be channeled into something productive and wonderful and beautiful and finished—is being funneled into that dark cloud of guilt.
Today I’m going to focus on one thing that’s been giving me the procrastination run-around. Let’s murder the dark cloud today!
WeWork is hiring a writer to write about business, design, and technology. Sounds like a very cool job! Send it to someone who should grab it.
By the way, if you’re looking or hiring, let me know and always happy to include a listing or couple sentences in here. I am only one person, but the people who read this newsletter are well-connected behind my wildest dreams, and we can all help each other. That's the whole point!

Thanks, as always, for reading.
