Picking a spot already
Oh, hi friends!
You can’t stick the landing if you don’t know where you want to land.
You can’t…stick…the landing…if you don’t know…where you want to…LAND.
This week, I’m picking a landing spot.
How about you? Where do you want to land by Friday?
"My favorite journey is a journey which you walk alone but at the same time you know somebody is waiting for you at the end. It's the perfect journey—it doesn't matter how difficult, how dark, or how protracted, as long as you believe there is someone waiting for you there. That makes a journey different. Our life has no purpose unless we believe there is someone waiting there.”
Ai Weiwei’s Vanity Fair Proust Questionnaire is as wonderful as you’d expect.
Isn’t it funny how everything adds up? A month or so ago I was raving about the Morgan Library’s Tennessee Williams exhibition (it closes May 13!) which set me off on a Tennessee rabbit hole.
So I saw his play “Summer and Smoke” this weekend, featuring Nathan Darrow (who you might know as Meechum from House of Cards…yes, *that* Meechum) and the wonderful Marin Ireland. It was beautiful. Incredible performances in an intimate space—now, I don’t ever mind a seat in the rear mezzanine but there’s something magical seeing this kind of Acting so close. Highly recommend you see, running through May 25 downtown at Classic Stage Company!
Looking for a Brooklyn Apartment!
My dear friend Mindy is apartment hunting in Brooklyn. She’s looking for a two-bedroom for under $3,000, ideally in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Prospect Heights, but really, any Brooklyn neighborhood as long as the L isn't the only option. For a June 1 move-in date. If you have any leads, please email her mtchieu@gmail.com — and remember, apartment karma is real!
