Taking out garbage weeks
Oh, hi friends!
Well, isn’t this how it normally goes?
After the high of last week—running around at the summit, hitting 10 (!) deadlines, each day feeling very purposeful—this week was, well, what I like to call a garbage week. Too floaty, too unstructured, too whatever.
Of course, when I look deeper, there were highlights—nice emails from strangers, my lyrics writing class (I wrote a comic duet!), and pressing send on something that was stirring for months.
But overall it didn't feel...good, you know?
And I just have to be OK with that. There’s always the ability to press reset. And we don’t even have to wait until Monday. We can start on Saturday. Or in 10 minutes. Or right now. Every moment can be a reset. Shake it off. And reset.

My path is my path. I can’t take nothing away from nobody, and nobody can take nothing away from me. I’m running my race. But we can still encourage each other.
Denzel Washington:
What’s the harm in that? You’ll never see a U-Haul behind a hearse.
