Monday = time to move the furniture
Oh, hi friends!
I rearranged my furniture this weekend.
I was tired of sitting in the same chair, looking out the same window, day after day.
Now I’m sitting in the same chair, but I’m looking at a wall!
Is that better? I dunno. Doesn’t matter. It’s different.
What small change can you make today to shake up your routine?
Because what looks small doesn’t always have to be small.
Ripple effects, you know.
Besides, you can always go back to your usual tomorrow.
“Ninety percent of the game is just fending off the rejection. And knowing that not everything is about you. It’s not about your talent, it’s not about your hair, it’s not about, ‘If I’d worn the pink shirt.’ There are so many bigger things. Keep your eye on the prize and just walk in there and do your shit.”
This is Amy Sherman-Palladino’s advice to actors on getting hired.
But it applies to everything else.
Just walk in there and do your shit.
PS — I finally finished watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (I wanted to savor it!!!) and it truly is the most delightful show.
PPS — If you were a big ASP/Gilmore Girls fan, awhile back I wrote my version of Season 8 before the show returned to Netflix. Interested parties, please read and let me know if it rings true!
Three minutes worth watching from Peter Dinklage.
“The world might say you’re not allowed to yet. Please don’t even bother asking. Don’t bother telling the world you are ready. Show it. Do it. Trust me, a rhythm sets in….raise the rest of your life to meet you.”

Thanks, as always, for reading.
