You can fly when you’re not flying
Oh, hi friends!
Sometimes I see planes out my window.
Saw one just now.
A blinking underbelly on its way to JFK, coming from who-knows-where.
Meanwhile I’m still and safe and warm and have a cup of tea at my side.
It’s easy to want to be on the plane.
It’s easy to want to come and go.
It’s less easy to be still and safe and warm.
What am I missing?
Nothing.
You’re right here.
Be still, for once. Be safe. Be warm. Drink your tea.
When Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez won the Best Original Song Oscar for their work on Coco, Robert became the first person in history to become a double EGOT! This means he’s won two Emmys, two Grammys, two Oscars, and two Tonys. (He was the mastermind behind Book of Mormon, Avenue Q, Frozen, and so on.) Looks like a triple EGOT isn't far behind. Incredible!!!
