You mean, I get to…choose?!
Oh, hi friends!
One thing I try to remember when I get “busy” (and busy is a nonsense word) is…
Everything is a choice.
Where you are right now, what you own, who you spend time with, where you work, who you depend on, how much money you make, how much debt you’re in, how healthy you are, how much of your free time you spend watching Netflix or taking photos of Porg, and on and on…
Choices.
Everything is up to you.
You choose it all just like you choose your outfit on a Monday morning.
And when you really take ownership of that? Watch out.
“I realized a long time ago, if I show up late for something twice, I don’t want it.”
I was blown away by Tim Ferriss’s interview with Terry Crews, who you might not know is a Renaissance man—NFL player, artist, actor, entrepreneur, and now he’s a furniture designer, too! (Read about his beautiful new furniture line.)
But what he said above struck me—because how many times have you shown up for late for something you actually wanted? I’m guessing never. Good barometer to figure out your feelings.
He talks about mindset and being an artist—listen on iTunes or stream it.
