So, I’m a killer…
Oh, hi friends!
I’m looking at a half-dead succulent. Maybe it’s all dead? We’ll see.
But my not-so-green thumb made me think about how much care and attention our biggest and best ideas require.
Now, I don’t need to baby my Half-Dead Succulent 24/7. All it needs is a tiny bit of water once a week. (Or less? Clearly I don’t know.)
Even incremental attention will keep your plants—and your passion projects—alive.
Opening a Word doc. Writing a paragraph. Signing up for a class. Emailing one person. That's all it takes.
Is there something you can water today?

Twitter can be wonderful! This thread has hundreds of suggestions: places to pitch, editors to DM, outlets to put on your radar. Doesn't get easier than this.
Your New Morning Wake-Up
Finding a new song can help me hit a writing groove (“Gwan” by Rostam) or engage in a dramatic lunch interlude (Sondheim’s “Losing My Mind” sung by Barbara Cook). But when I heard “Holy” by Jamila Woods, I knew I had to add it to my a.m. rotation. “Woke up this morning with my mind set on loving me.” YES. Now go strut to the office. Video or Spotify!
