Gratitude running
Oh, hi friends!
How many of you are lacing up for a Turkey Trot? (My local Brooklyn one sold out a month ago!)
If you’re not trotting, can I suggest a gratitude run instead? Basically, you get your feet moving and start listing all the things you’re grateful for. It’s the endorphin equivalent of crossing a finish line. I swear.
I wrote about gratitude running and hope it encourages you to get out there and remember all the things you have, not all the things you want.
And speaking of gratitude: Thank you for reading this.
I had a faint idea of why I wanted to start a newsletter all those months ago, and 209 issues later, the reason is very clear: to create a deeper connection with anyone who's able to lend just a little bit of their time every morning.
For that, and for you, I'm very grateful.
“I interviewed and got the job, and I was like, ‘This is the best job ever, because I get to be creative and I’m not alone in my pajamas,’” Feiffer says of her introduction to a TV writers room. Since then, every room she has been a part of has had a playwright or four in it.
So many wonderful playwrights interviewed in this LA Times piece on peak TV sparking a love affair between playwrights and the small screen.
See! Skills *are* transferable!
Movies for the Whole Fam
If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, I highly recommend The Florida Project and Ladybird—two of my favorites of the year!
Note: This was the Google Image result for searching "ladybird," though no actual ladybirds/bugs star in the film. That I could see.
See you back here on Monday! Eat all the pie.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
