The best advice I’ve heard lately
Oh, hi friends!
Have faith in what you’re doing.
Have faith in what you’re doing.
Have faith in what you’re doing.
This bit of advice slapped me across the eyes while getting a pep talk from a friend yesterday. (She only said it once, but I'm going to repeat it for days.)
When you remember this, the faith bit, the noise goes away.
“I knew I could run because I’m always in the yard working, and when the phone rings, I go running inside to answer it.”
Julia Hawkins started running a year ago—at age 100. Her story is a lovely one.
There's always time to try something new.
The Next Big Thing
Does anyone play HQ? After my friend Erik Sutch introduced the game to a group of us—and we dropped everything to play in a bar—I’ve been obsessed. It’s a live trivia show app by the founders of Vine. At 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. each day, a host starts the game and asks questions, which live players (like you!) must quickly answer. Like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but for your phone, and you’re competing against ~50K other people around the world. It's a little Black Mirror-ish. The winners split a jackpot of $1,000 (or more, depending on the day). The questions get hard.
Anyway, just play. You’ll see. Oh, and it’s free! (iOS )
