Monday's macro view
Oh, hi friends!
I love when I love Mondays.
They can kickstart a week of go-go-going. Inspire new ideas and pitches. Make me remember what it’s like to feel rejuvenated and rested after a proper weekend.
But I hate when I hate Mondays.
They can make me feel aimless. Stressed. Worried. Make me long for the cool ease and breeze of the weekend.
The difference between loving and hating Mondays is having control over your week.
So take a macro view. What do you want to accomplish by Friday? Don't look at your calendar. Actually think.
Then retool your Monday—yes, there are still hours left!—to start getting there.
In the interest of full transparency, here's what I want this week, work-wise: Submit to two play festivals; write three stories; get three new assignments; write treatment for my new pilot idea.
Can I get there?
Can you?
*shrugs*
I think so.
Let’s find out.

All I Wanna Do Is Sit Outside and Watch Art
Maybe it’s the novelty of seeing stars literally standing below stars. Maybe it's because monologues land better in the night air. Or maybe it’s because they’re often BYOB. Whatever the reason, watching a performance at an outdoor theatre means peak summer has arrived. Here's my Daily Beast round-up of the best outdoor theaters ‘round the world.
Thank you for reading.
