Operating with integrity
Oh, hi friends!
What would it feel like to run with integrity?
To write and file your stories with integrity?
To interact with your coworkers with integrity?
To operate in the world—in those little micro moments when you think no one is watching—with integrity? (That means being nice to people even when you woke up cranky.)
To execute on your goals…with integrity.
Okay, you get it, but I’m going to keep going…
…to stick to a plan, a diet, a deadline, a strength-training exercise, a yoga routine, a one-book-a-week reading fest, a 10 p.m. bedtime, or anything less virtuous but equally important to you…all with integrity?
I think those two words mean following through with honor and honesty and internal consistency. Because, let’s face it, no one cares whether or not you accomplish any of the above. The integrity would be for you
Weird Trick to Remember Names
Some people are pros at recalling names of new people. I always have a hard time, but I’ve made it somewhat less embarrassing with this trick: I ask for the spelling. (Or I say something like, “So that’s Bryan with a Y or an I?”) I was a Spelling Bee (almost) champion *halfway humblebag* so maybe this only works for my brain, but worth a shot?
