Today's Brass Ring Daily: Squelching Hot Fires and Heartburn
Today, I’m dealing with the hottest fires first.
A friend said this to me yesterday and I quickly scribbled it down. (Don’t worry, D, I was still listening! I'm just a quote poacher.)
It’s so true, though. Some days everything’s up in flames and you must move quickly to douse each disaster, never stopping to make sure the embers have cooled. Hottest-fire days are crushing, but they do fly by.
A medium-fire day is more dangerous. If everything is burning equally, nothing takes priority. You're liable to kick off your shoes, roast s’mores, and get nothing done.
And a no-fire day means you might be dead. You gotta grab some flint and steel and get to work.
Which kind of fire do you prefer?
“I look out the window and I see the lights and the skyline and the people on the street rushing around looking for action, love, and the world’s greatest chocolate chip cookie, and my heart does a little dance.”
Nora, Heartburn, the best.
