Today's Brass Ring Daily: Midweek Mayhem, How Ya Holdin' Up?
Why do you want it?
It doesn’t matter what the “it” is: new job, glamorous apartment, acknowledgment from a wayward love interest (good time to mention The X-Files is returning, yay!).
Unpacking the reasons why is always illuminating.
One funny example: I was recently keen on working for a certain company. But when I dug deep into why, the reasons were…stability, $$$, cachet, and free snacks. All valid reasons! That had nothing to do with what I'd be doing every day. Good to know. Now I can seek those elsewhere.
So, why do you want what you want? And is there only one way to get it?
"A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it."
According to Wiki, George Augustus Moore was an Irish novelist, short story writer, poet, art critic, memoirist, and dramatist. (Overachiever.) Fun fact: He also wrote the novella on which the film Albert Nobbs was based. Go, Georgie!
