Today's Brass Ring Daily: The Power of Focus
Hi friends,
On my last plane ride, I clicked through all 87 films and 54 TV shows and finally settled on watching the HBO documentary Becoming Warren Buffett. (I am 102 years old.) If you can't find two hours for this fascinating film, I’ll tell you what I remember the most. When asked what skill he attributed for all of his success, the richest man in the world didn’t say talent or smarts or hard work. He said…focus.
So I hope that during these last few hours of your workday, you can pause the overactive multitasking part of your brain and deeply focus on whatever needs your attention. And that when that's done, you focus on the next little tidbit that you need to complete. And that when you head home or out to your Friday night plans, you can focus on the city and your surroundings. And that over the weekend, you can focus on your long run or leisure time or growing your side hustle or spending time with your family or friends. And that throughout all of this, your focus is 100%—a deep and undivided attention and presence, committed exclusively to what's in front of you, right here, right now.
See you on Monday.
Thank you for reading.
Love, Kara
