Is your fridge full?
Let’s Venture to the Kitchen
Don't worry, I’m not going to talk you through any recipes. (I don’t have any!)
But I want to share a metaphor that a friend and I have repeated over the years.
Simple question: Is your fridge full?
Or is it empty, save for maybe a jar of capers and some celery stalks? How would you feel if, upon opening the door, you saw some hearty leftovers or ingredients for a beautiful meal?
When we open the door and see nothing, that feeds the narrative (no pun intended) that we have nothing. We’re hungry and without options.
Or.
We could just drive to the grocery store.
Your move, Frigidaire.
"Make it simple, but significant."

At the Women in the World Summit yesterday, I was stunned to hear Iasia Sweeting recite her fierce and defiant poem composed while being starved and held captive for four years. Watch her power. (Learn more about Iasia's story in my piece here.)
Thank you for reading.
