Lately I’ve found a new jam. And by lately I mean “this week.” And by “jam” I ain't talking about this Trader Joe’s Uncured Bacon Jam number, although…intriguing.
No, my new jam is a question. It might come up in the middle of a so-so run. Or when I’m writing but my head's bobbing, wishing for a nap. Or when I’m reaching out to yet another contact, editor, human.
My new jam is to ask:
Can I do just a little bit more?
That's the key. Just a little bit.
The answer's always yes. Give it a shot.
“A lot of what you see in my films isn’t invention; it’s very much life itself, my own life. If you have an image in your head, hold on to it because — as remote as it might seem — at some point you might be able to use it in a film. I have always sought to transform my own experiences and fantasies into cinema.”

Here are a coupla guys chatting about time management. I love hearing that Warren Buffett has three appointments in an entire week. As the man worth $73 billion says: “Time is the one thing I can’t buy.” (Well, and love, Buffy, but I get your point.)
Thank you for reading.
