How to power through Hump Day
Just Set It—And Forget It!
So! Something practical! If you’re often distracted by, well, life, try the Pomodoro Technique: Set a 25-minute timer. Work like a beast. Break for 5 minutes. 25-minute sprint. Break. Repeat. Four 25-minute sessions equal one Pomodoro, then you get a glorious 15-minute break. And then start over. (Runners will notice this is like interval training.) I use Moosti timer when I’m a mess and can’t finish anything. Working against the clock is powerful.
"A man needs a little madness, or else he never dares cut the rope and be free."
You may agree or disagree, but that’s what makes it a great line. From the 1964 film Zorba the Greek. Watch the scene while you sip your coffee.
A Random Thing That I Like
This isn’t news to people who pay close attention to my forearms, but I’m obsessed with Tattly's temporary tattoos. Designed in Brooklyn, they're perfect for people too indecisive to commit to a real tattoo. Gorgeous designs. Great gift idea, too.
Thank you for reading.
