A Moment of Anticipation:
The doors try to close. A dude's coat is in the way. Inhale. The train is about to pull away from the station, to deliver you to your job/date/audition/home. Pause. Nothing. Pregnant pause. Nothing. Everyone sits. Sighs. The whole world sits. Sighs. That moment full of angst, hope, irritation, imagination. That’s the moment before you leap. Stop holding your breath. There. The doors close. Now you’re moving.
"Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next."
—Gilda Radner
She was an original SNL cast member who died from ovarian cancer at age 42. This quote doesn't illustrate the damn funny lady that she was, but that's the thing...a quote is just one line snatched from a life full of 'em. You can be remembered for one thing or many things or, perhaps, nothing at all. She was damn funny though. The world knew that.
Something I’m Wondering:
Whatcha eating for breakfast? Savory, sweet, soul-clarifying black coffee? Whole30-approved? Bacon and eggs? Taco Bell?! Tell me, please. I'm meeting a friend for breakfast, which might make the meal moot. The showing up in the cold sunshine is the thing. (But who am I kidding, I'm also inhaling a bacon, egg, and cheese.)
Thank you for reading.
Love, Kara
