When You Like Something, Tell the Person Who Created It:
What would happen if we told people we enjoyed their work? If you read their story, then emailed them. Admired their song on the subway, and told them so. Enjoyed a great scone, and sent back your compliments to the baker. What would happen if we tracked down the people who added something brief yet meaningful to our lives? Maybe they’ll keep doing good work. Maybe we will too.

In David Hare’s play Skylight, the character Kyra is talking about being a teacher, but this works for any circumstance, no?
