You simply push through
Oh, hi friends!
Yesterday I was thinking about resiliency, and how this can often feel like an after-the-fact quality.
Because how do you know you’re being resilient when you’re in it?
You don’t.
You’re busy.
You simply push through.
But after it’s over, you might look back, and you say, “Did I really do that? Was that me?”
You might think, “If I could do that, I could do anything.”
You think, “I’m resilient — and here’s the proof.”
You see that you're the proof.
“Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
— George Bernard Shaw
