Permission to ignore a bunch of stuff
Oh, hi friends!
Yesterday I came across a long, long, looooong list of opportunities. There were online master classes and lunch-and-learns, extensive interviews and historical deep dives. There were accounts to follow and livestreams to watch.
I looked at this long, long, looooong list, and I thought…
That’s nice, but not for me right now.
You will not miss anything, you will not fall behind, and you don’t need to fear that everyone is bettering themselves and completing projects without you.
Whatever you’re doing — and however you’re doing it — is more than fine.
And everything else? Say these words:
That’s nice, but not for me right now.
Real question: Is your hair longer or shorter than Stephen Colbert’s right now?
BTW, my 98-year-old grandpa in California says he's stopped shaving and growing a beard because he doesn't have to go out! Maybe use that as inspiration to let it grow, let it grow, let it grow?
A sweet dessert to start your day: Here’s Jordan Fisher, Broadway’s current Evan Hansen, “Waving Through a Window.”
