You are adapting
Oh, hi friends!
Hello again to another week. I’m not 100 percent sure what the next five days will bring — you probably don’t either.
Our calendars may be set, but they’ll dance and bend and change. Things will get added, things will be removed, things might seem too full or too empty.
But you will adapt, as you always do, as you already have.
You don’t have to work through this Monday. You can go with it, hour by hour, and make it work for you.
“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”
A forever classic from Nora Ephron. This can be interpreted in many ways, of course…
That reminds me, perhaps now is the perfect time for a little Ephron marathon!
Feel like going for a run?
Yesterday I ran a mile (yes, one single mile) and it felt monumental! My first mile in two weeks.
I know it’s easy to get out of the habit of things, but beyond the health benefits, it reminded me how good it was for my brain and my sense of well-being.
If you’re interested in running for the first time, there’s a new app called None to Run geared toward gradual beginners with short workouts each week. Wishing you many happy miles ahead.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
