There is always possibility
Oh, hi friends!
You can say no.
You can leave the giant Zoom webinar if you’re bored. Or tap out of the group text if it makes you anxious. Or curb your news intake if you’re stressed.
You can say yes, too.
You can offer solutions before anyone arrives with a problem. Or keep showing up at your desk even if you’re unsure why. Or move forward with an impossible idea, inch by inch by inch. Because what is impossible, really?
There will always be possibility. And with possibility comes a choice.
No or yes?
“Make it simple, but significant.”
We’re watching/rewatching Mad Men right now and I always have this nugget from Don Draper in my head.
Simple, but significant.
Sure, this advice is critical for ad campaigns, but the same could be said for...your current project, the small task in front of you, or this Monday. It doesn’t have to be ornate or complex. It can be small yet carefully defined.
Simple, but significant.
How do you keep employees engaged (and sane) right now?
My latest piece is for From Day One, and it's aimed at managers, employers, HR folks, and anyone else trying to stay focused and help their employees stay focused too. Some tips over here!
Do you (or someone you know) know how to sew?
My friend Danielle is spearheading a group of makers and DIY-ers who are machine-sewing backup masks for hospitals and facilities across the country. They’ve received way more requests for these masks than they are currently able to supply. Please go here if you might be able to help sew, donate, or spread the word on social media.
