A Friday is a Friday
Oh, hi friends!
Every day this week I’ve asked, “What day is it?”
And now, here we are! It’s really and truly Friday.
On a normal Friday, I run with my friend Aransas in the morning. Work and tie up loose ends all day. See a play at night. Think of fun things to do over the weekend.
On this Friday, I’m going to chat with Aransas in the morning. Work and tie up loose ends. Watch something good at night. Think of fun things to do this weekend.
The days don’t have to blur together. You don't even have to get wildly creative. You can maybe try to do your Friday things today, just in a slightly adjusted fashion.
There can be freedom in the usual constraints.
“At the end of the storm is a golden sky, and the sweet silver song of a lark.”
The BMI writing workshop has been on hold for the past two weeks (they are devising a remote workaround!) but in the meantime, our wonderful moderators sent out a note and included this lyric from “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” from the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Carousel. It made me tear up and also reminded me of the power of music. We will keep writing and keep singing.
A Great Article From a Friend!
My friend Rachel Sklar wrote this piece with invaluable advice for when your home becomes your office — and your daycare. (Rachel gets more day in a day than most people do in a week!)

From my friend Miriam: I’m looking for a PR outfit well-versed in tech (privacy and/or cybersecurity a plus) to work with a small startup on building an external media program and securing coverage in Tier 1 and Tier 2 publications. I need someone/a team with the time to dedicate to us and someone/a team unafraid of an opinionated executive. Interested parties please contact Miriam: mdatskovsky@gmail.com
