So easy they put it on posters
Oh, hi friends!
It is easy to say, “Keep calm and carry on.” So easy they put it on millions of posters.
But maybe it’s easier to understand if we separate the phrase.
If you can’t always “keep calm” perhaps there is a way to carry on. To move yourself forward through the day. To remember what you can and cannot control. To remain in motion, even if that means staying still sometimes.
To ask yourself of your actions, “Is this adding to my stress or easing it?” (I have found constantly reading the news never eases my stress.)
Nuances don’t fit on posters, but they do help in times of uncertainty.
Keep calm. And. Don’t forget the and. Try to carry on.
“Great opportunities never have ‘great opportunity’ in the subject line.”
Entrepreneur and investor Scott Belsky, from Tribe of Mentors
I’m reminded of all the greatest opportunities in my life — and they always came with more risk than I can remember later. But they were always worth it.
What will be your next greatest opportunity?

A Wish for You
May you start your week with all the curiosity of these meerkats. Especially the one on the left. He’s got stuff to do.
(I just realized that I included this photo in newsletter very recently and completely forgot. Maybe they are my lucky meerkats? Maybe they are my inspiration? In any case, they are here again. They cannot be denied.)
