May I borrow your brain
Oh, hi friends!
Say you’ve got something big coming up. You know what it is. A deadline, a meeting, an interview, an appointment.
Our minds often go to the worst “what if.”
But what if you imagined the opposite?
What if, for a minute, you considered the best possible outcome.
What does that feel like? Nice, right?!
And the best possible outcome could be just as likely as that other one.
Imagine, imagine, imagine that.
“You can try really hard to do what you think is going to sell or please people, but really at the end of the day it’s your time. That’s all we have.
If you’re going to give up this time in your life to work on something, it has to be the thing that you are really into.”
Where is your time going these days?
From this Creative Independent interview with writer Kimberly King Parsons. (Thanks to Delia Cai for sending!)
Do you have four minutes?
The best way to improve our creative practice — or anything, really — is by investigating our process, getting feedback, and returning to it with fresh eyes. So I’ve put together a lil’ Google Form with four short questions about Brass Ring Daily. Would you be able to take a look?
In 2020, I'm figuring out how to pump up this newsletter, and describe it to new readers — and that starts with your valuable feedback!
Thank you x 1,000,000 for your time.
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
