You’re not going to break anything

Oh, hi friends!
I’m disappointing a lot of people this week!
I’m about a week behind on emails, getting down to the wire on some deadlines, unable to see friends I want to see, and generally kinda scrambling! (Some of this is in my head; I’m probably disappointing myself the most.)
But let's pretend that it’s a month from now. It’s January 18, 2020.
We’re weeks after the holiday madness, and a fresh new year stretches before us.
How many of the things we’re stressing about now will truly be of consequence in a month?
Chances are we’re not going to break anything beyond repair.
So while I’m chipping away on the hourly to-dos, maniacally ticking off the days, I also want to be mindful of the many weeks and months I’m lucky enough to have ahead.
There is time. Plenty of it.
Does that feel better?
"The least successful people I know run in conflicting directions, drawn to distractions, say yes to almost everything, and are chained to emotional obstacles.
The most successful people I know have a narrow focus, protect against time-wasters, say no to almost everything, and have let go of old limiting beliefs.”
What can you subtract today?
From Derek Sivers, by way of the For the Interested newsletter.

And OK, if neither of those worked, might I suggest that today you be like a baby goat? This baby goat right here?
JOY TO THE GOAT.
