You got this, whatever this may be

Oh, hi friends!
I was going to call this week a sprint.
Then I was going to call it a marathon.
Then I wanted to think of a new word but I was overwhelmed by all the things I need to do that I should probably save finding words for the words that will help me edit stories or write stories or revise songs.
So instead I will say, this week is going to be just fine!!!
We will be OK!!!!!
(The more exclamation marks she uses, the more you know it’s true!!!!!!!)
One thing at a time.
The mantra from now ’til Thursday.
Deep breath. And one thing at a time.
“The artist’s journey is universal. And yet millions of people can read Philip Roth or Jonathan Franzen and be touched and moved and illuminated. What is personal to the artist is universal to the rest of us.”
From The Artist’s Journey by Steven Pressfield (feel free to change authors to anyone you wish).
What's the universal story you're dying to tell?

Today’s fake-link is present. How many presents have you bought in anticipation of the holidays? (If I answered this on Friday, I’d have to say zero. If I answer this today, I’d have to say…20?! Woof. Busy weekend.)
But after wading through a million gift guides with kinda mediocre junk, I was thinking — the main thing that I want is to actually be…present. You know?
