I’m probably gonna get your out-of-office

Oh, hi friends!
Remember on Monday when I gave us all a group deadline? And that deadline was Wednesday at noon? Well, if you’re on the East Coast, then our deadline is here!
Maybe you accomplished those lingering tasks, set those appointments, made those phone calls.
Perhaps you filed those drafts, completed your edits, massaged those ideas.
Chances are you did some of the things you set out to do — and others are nagging at your brain as you head to the train or the plane or the other-form-of-transportation-that-rhymes-with-brain.
I know it’s past our deadline, but deadlines are simply suggestions, right? So if you can do one final thing on your list, do it now! It will feel great.
And if you’re like OK, I’m fried, I’m done…I have a solution.
Put it in the box.
That’s right.
I’m creating a Project Box for us — it’s like Pandora’s Box, except better.
Whatever task you didn’t get to yet, whatever can wait until Monday, whatever you don’t want to think about until then…
Throw it in the Project Box.
It’s just for now, for safekeeping. Promise it’ll be there when you can return to it. Maybe it’ll even take on a different shape or form. Maybe you won’t even recognize it in a few days — in a good way.
You will see it again soon.
Hit reply if you’d like and let me know what you’re putting in there!
And in the meantime, if you’re in the U.S. and celebrating, go laze around with your family, cook a big bird at Friendsgiving, or have a relaxing solo time and watch a movie, see a show, read a book, eat an entire pie. Be thankful for your brain by giving it back the time and space it needs.
That’s all for now. I have to go tend to the Project Box.
I’ll see you Monday!
Wishing you all very, very well.
