What’s new is new again

Oh, hi friends!
How can you get addicted to something new?
I edited a video in iMovie, but what if I learned Premiere?
I can create some art in Canva, but what if I learned Photoshop?
I can write words for actors to say, but what if I took an acting class?
New skills can elevate your old ones.
“The day I released ‘Truth Hurts’ was probably one of the darkest days I’ve had ever in my career. I remember thinking, ‘If I quit music now, nobody would notice. This is my best song ever, and nobody cares,'” Lizzo recalls. “I was like, ‘F— it, I’m done.’ And a lot of people rallied; my producer, my publicist and my family, they were like, ‘Just keep going because this is the darkest before the dawn.'
Now the song that made me want to quit is the song that everyone’s falling in love with me for, which is such a testament to journeys: Your darkest day turns into your brightest triumph.”
Even if you don’t have a producer, a publicist, or family who supports you, maybe you can also find encouragement in Lizzo’s journey from almost quitting music to topping Billboard’s Hot 100 for two months. (h/t Selina Zhong)

I love this site of free doodles created by Pablo Stanley. Not only because the illustrations are cuuute, but also because of the instructions to copy, remix, share, or redraw the images and play around with their layers to see how they were made. What else could we learn from each other if we shared our work freely?
